Hello, My name is Francisco Bautista, I grew up working in the fields here in the Parma, Wilder area. I graduated from Parma High School in 2017, hence following my graduation from the University of Idaho with my bachelor's in biotechnology and plant genomics in 2021. During my undergraduate career, I had the opportunity to study and learn more in-depth about plant propagation and plant tissue culture by working in Robert Tripepi's plant physiology lab.
I then wanted to continue my education, which has led me to my current position as a research technician at the University of Idaho Parma Research and Extension Center. I currently run the experimental trials for the agronomy department at the station. For this project, I am currently setting up the plots for the biochar from dairies to study the affect on wheat cropping systems.
